My Co-Sponsored Legislation Creating A "Fallen Officer Fund" Becomes Law!

Last week, while we recognized the selfless men and women of law enforcement during National Police Week, the governor signed an important public safety priority for the Connecticut House Republicans into law.

Public Act 24-27, establishes a fallen officers fund to provide crucial financial support to families of fallen police officers. This fund will ensure that members who were covered by insurance of a fallen officer will continue to have health insurance covered for up to five years, and $100,000 will be provided to the surviving family members.

Let us never forget why we honor the brave police officers who are there for us around the clock.
