Geremia Farms Earns CT's Prestigious CENTURY FARM AWARD!

This week, it was my honor to present an official State Citation recognizing Wallingford's Joe Geremia and Geremia Farms as the newest receipt of Connecticut's prestigious Century Farm Award as part of the annual Plant Science Day at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station, Lockwood Farm, located at 890 Evergreen Ave. in Hamden.

The Century Farm Award is given annually by the Connecticut Agricultural Information Council to recognize a farm that has been in family operation for more than 100 years, and has outstanding potential to be successful business for another 100 years. For generations, Geremia Farms has been located at 415 Barnes Road, and has provided “beautiful plants at competitive prices” to the wholesale market, while operating farm stands that offer consumers fresh flowers, vegetables and baked goods of the highest quality. Joe Geremia has managed this family farm since 1989.

Joe was joined by his wife Dawn, and children Liam, Libby, Lucas and Maddie.

CONGRATULATIONS!
